Why is the water wet?

przez Tomasz

We all know water is wet, but what does that really mean? The feeling of moisture after contact with water is actually the feeling of cold that we experience when water evaporates from our body.

Liquids make other surfaces wet. By “wet” we often mean the fact that they stick to a given surface (eg our body) after contact. This is due to the action of electrostatic forces (opposite charges) between the molecules.

Water has an uneven distribution of electric charge, one end of the water molecule is additives and the other is negative. This attracts water to the various surfaces.
