An interesting fact is that the sky looks blue but actually consists of all the colors of the rainbow. Each color has a different wavelength of light. Some are long, some are short. All light waves scatter after entering the Earth’s atmosphere, collide with gases and other particles. Due to the fact that blue has the shortest wavelength of light, it collides with the largest number of particles. This leads to a scattering of the blue color in the sky and therefore it is blue.
