There are 23 beautiful National Parks in our country. Which of them is the oldest in Poland?
On June 1, 1932, the reserve in the Pieniny Mountains was transformed into the first National Park in Poland. This makes the Pieniny National Park the oldest in Poland. At the time of writing this post, we have 2020, which means that it is already 88 years old.
The Pieniny National Park covers an area of 26.46 square kilometers and is located close to the border with Slovakia in the Małopolskie Voivodeship, north-east of Zakopane (approx. 30 km as the crow flies).
The second and oldest park is the Białowieża National Park, which was established in the same year, but two months later.
