Which country in the world is the first to vaccinate against COVID-19?

przez Tomasz

On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, the day this post was published, Great Britain became the first country in the world to start mass vaccinating its citizens against COVID-19. In the first place, representatives of health services, nursing home workers and the oldest people over 80 are vaccinated. These people will be the first to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The first patient, 90-year-old Margaret Kennan, received an injection of the vaccine against the COVID-19 coronavirus today, according to The New York Times, at exactly 6:31 a.m. Thus, she became the first person in the world to be officially vaccinated against a disease that today has resulted in the death of over 1.5 million people worldwide.

We hope that the vaccine will reach as soon as possible, also to all other countries around the world, and will end the pandemic that has been going on for almost a year.
