Jeans are also known as denim, texas and denim. It is a cotton fabric woven in a twill weave. Classic jeans had a clear blue color, which was obtained with the use of indigo – a pigment obtained from the leaves of indigo dye. Versions of various colors are popular today. Traditional denim consists of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, but now there are also variants with other proportions. It is worth remembering that a high percentage of cotton means that denim is stiff. Spandex, on the other hand, makes the jeans soft and fits the body better, but its excessively high addition may cause the material to quickly lose its original shape.
