In virtually all retail stores, we meet the given gross prices for all products. The gross price in Poland is a price that includes 23% VAT. How to calculate the price without VAT, i.e. net?
It is enough to divide the gross price by 1.23.
For example, if you have a product whose gross price is PLN 999, dividing it by 1.23 will result in PLN 812.2 and it is a net price, excluding VAT. Let’s check if everything is correct and add 23% to the amount of 812.2. We get back PLN 999 gross, i.e. everything as it should be and as it was at the beginning.
