Diego Maradona or the legend of world football. A footballer recognized as one of the best in the world. He was elected, among others the best player of the 20th century, obtaining 53% of all votes (1) on the official FIFA website.
Diego Maradona was born on October 30, 1960 in Lanús (Buenos Aires City Complex), Argentina. He died on November 25, 2020 at the age of 60.
In 1986, Diego Maradona led his native Argentina’s team to the football world title. It was the only time Argentina won this great title. In 1990, he managed to achieve the title of world runner-up with the Argentine team.
Maradona was the star of the Italian football club SSC Napoli with which he won the Italian championship twice and the UEFA cup.
