How long is a handball game?

Handball is a type of team sport which aims to score as many points as possible by throwing the ball into the opponent’s goal.

The team consists of 12 players (10 field players and 2 goalkeepers), and the field may contain a maximum of 7 players at the same time (1 goalkeeper and 6 field players).

When it comes to how long a handball match lasts, it depends on the age of the players. The playing time for men and women over 18 years is 2 halves of 30 minutes each with a 10-minute break. In the case of juniors and youngsters, both halves last 25 minutes.
